Our Services.

Welcome to the future of elastomeric internal swaging, offered exclusively by Schwartz. Our state-of-the-art precision machine tool is designed to repeatably produce high-strength, leak-proof, internally swaged tubes. The elastomeric swaging process consists of a fitting that slips over the tube, the tube itself, and tooling that isolates the end of the tube and applies internal pressure to the tube to create a mechanical link between the tube and fitting.This process is widely used in the commercial and military aircraft industry to fabricate tubing assemblies for hydraulic, fuel, oxygen, and similar fluid distribution systems.Since it eliminates the need for expensive inspection operations, elastomeric swaging is much more efficient than welding or brazing. Additionally, elastomeric swaging produces high quality mechanical tube fitting attachments without the wall thinning and local stress concentrations produced by mechanical roller swaging or the older bite-type fitting designs.

Internal Swaging

Our swage machine can be used for low to high volume production, swaging tubes as small as 1/4" O.D. and as large as 1" O.D., covering virtually all tube wall thicknesses. We can swage aluminum, corrosion resistant steel, and titanium allloys. Supported specifications include Boeing BAC 5001-4 and others.For internal swaging and internally swaged fittings.

Pressure Testing

We have the ability to pressure test for quality assurance. Our hydrostatic pressure testing services offer leak detection of tubular formed products for aerospace, military, and other applications. Tube Beading

Beading can serve to provide a seat or stop on the outside of the tubular component. We offer beading for aluminum, titanium, and stainless steel tubing of many different diameters. As a provider of PMA parts, we are required to maintain a precise quality system according to strict FAA standards. Our oxygen systems are assembled in both kits and sub-kits. Our History.

Peter A. Schwartz, Jr. (1941 - 2009)Schwartz Engineering Company, the predecessor to Schwartz Avaition LLC, was formed in 1985 to provide aircraft engineering and consulting services to the worldwide business and general aviation communitites.The company was owned and managed by renowned aerospace engineer Peter A. Schwartz, Jr. Peter was a registered professional engineer and FAA Structural DER who specialized in stress analysis and aviation safety, pioneering numerous aviation inventions.

Schwartz Engineering Company (circa 2002)In 2001, the engineering services portion of the business was sold, leaving Schwartz Engineering Company to concentrate on its FAA Supplemental Type Certificate and PMA business.In 2010, over twenty FAA Supplemental Type Certificates were transferred to Schwartz Aviation, and the business lives on. Not only have we kept the Schwartz name, we model our company in the spirit of Peter's high energy, focus, and principles to provide our customers with personalized, timely, cost-effective products and services.
